How to apply (all positions except bus operator)
If you wish to apply for a position in State Transit you must apply through State Transit’s e-recruitment system.
First you must identify the position you are interested in from the listing of all State Transit current vacancies on jobs.nsw. To access, click on the current vacancies tab on the left. The jobs.nsw search page for State Transit will display. Click on the "search for jobs" tab for a full list of open State Transit vacancies. You can view information about the job by clicking on the job title itself. Here you will see information about State Transit, the position accountabilities, special job notes and the selection criteria. When you are ready to apply, click on the “apply” button below the job listing.
If you have not applied for a position through jobs.nsw before, you will need to first register with the jobs.nsw website.
You will be required to provide some personal information and then complete a series of pre-screen questions. You must attach a copy of your resume and any certificates or documents that are relevant to the current application. Your resume will be used to validate your answers in the pre-screen so you need to ensure you have provided sufficient information in your resume to validate your answers.
You can save your answers to the pre-screen as a draft if you need to obtain more information prior to completing your application.
Once you have completed your on-line application you must submit it to ensure it is registered.
You will receive an automatic email response acknowledging your application has been received in our e-recruitment system.
Communication regarding your application will take place through email. It is essential you monitor your email to receive further advice relating to your application.
